Probably you have to change some settings.

I too am having the same issue with my new ipod touch 8gb I purchased 1 hr. ago.
I followed the instructions and it keeps telling me I too have not downloaded the
freaking Ipod. I am getting thoroughly UPSET!!! I will admit I am not technology
savy at mY age. But i am not stupid either. I really need HELP!
